GENERAL RULES
Players must be 18 years or older at the time of their first game
Players may only play/register on one team. Exceptions may be made for goalies.
All games will be played under USA Hockey rules as modified by any exceptions listed.
Redline icing
Slapshots are allowed
No checking
Officials’ decisions are final
GAME FORMAT
Ice will be resurfaced before each game
5-minute warm-up (clock starts when Zamboni doors close. BE READY!)
Three 17-minute running time periods w/ 1-minute between periods
Each team will be allowed one 30 second time-out per game
Home = light jerseys
Away = dark jerseys
PENALTIES
2-minute minors and 5-minute majors
Go to the penalty box and time will start at the next puck drop.
If a penalty's time elapses during a stoppage of play, the penalized player must remain in the penalty box until the puck is dropped.
3 penalties in a game will result in ejection from the game.
The player will be allowed to play the next game.
Any fighting or intent to injure will result in immediate ejection from the game, plus an additional game suspension and can result in ejection from the tournament based on committee discretion.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
POOL PLAY
Teams will be awarded points according to the following:
Win = 2 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 points
8 Team Divisions
Two, 4 Team Pools
Team with the most points in each pool will advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
6 Team Divisions
After pool play teams will be ranked 1st - 6th based on points and advance as follows after:
#1 and #2 will advance to CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
#3 and #4 will advance to the 3rd place game
#5 and #6 will advance to the 5th place game
4 Team Divisions
ROUND ROBIN
After round robin play, the #1 and #2 teams will advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
TIE-BREAKER RULES
If points are tied at the end of pool play or round robin, tie breaking will be determined as follows:
Head to Head
Goal Differential = Total Goals - Goals Against, with largest differential advancing
Total Goals
Fewest Goals Against
Coin Flip
CHAMPIONSHIP TIE-BREAKER RULES
If the Championship game is tied at the end of regulation time, the game will move to a SHOOTOUT
3 players from each team will take turns shooting
if still tied after 3 rounds, additional “sudden death” rounds will occur until a team emerges victorious.
Each player may only shoot once. Must go through the full roster before repeating skaters.
